On the 14th October we farewelled Suse and our 2nd donation of Baby Teresa suits to Uganda. We have just got an update from Suse today and wanted to share this with everyone. She and her sister (Mary) visited an orphange home called Baby Watoto (http://www.watoto.com). Suse explains Baby Watoto "it is a very well organised orphanage, that provide phenomenally good care of the little ones (even by Western standards)! They receive babies that are found on the rubbish tip, in bus shelters, police stations, etc. The smallest dot was Meg who came in at 72.5grams or is that 720 grams, something pretty small anyway!!!! She was SO little!" It bought tears to our eyes when we read Suse's email, it is so wonderful to know that Baby Teresa is able to help clothe these little ones. Attached is a photo of Suse with a baby from the orphanage called Ruby wearing the "Lan" orange stripe short all-in-one outfit. Thanks Suse for the update!
Baby Teresa sells a line of gorgeous 100% organic cotton baby clothing and accessories. For each baby outfit we sell we also donate another to a child in need. For each accessory item we sell, a portion of the sales go to purchasing formula for babies in need. So far we’ve made donations in over 20 countries from Peru to Egypt. Our baby clothes and accessories are soft, cuddly, fair trade and make a superb baby shower gift.
