Enterprise Photo Shoot!

Check out these stunners! These 5 gorgeous babies were our delightful (and extremely well behaved) models for our April photo shoot for Enterprise magazine.

Huge thanks go out to Claudia and her mum Ida, Imogen and her Dad Oliver (previously featured in our post "Do models eat?", Harriet and her Mum Mel and twins Harry and Jock and their parents Karla and Sam.

The day was full of fun as Harriet stole the show with her fabulous mane of hair and her tendency to want to direct the shoot herself. She also stood up! Exciting times.

Harry (in the blue) and Jock (in the orange) were our terrific twins and our "big boys" of the day.

Imogen was our teeny tiny little lass who ate and slept and was very calm.

Claudia wowed everyone with her stunning eyes and ability to pose on cue and loved a prop of any sort (Mum's scarf, toys etc!)

Stay tuned for the finished images on our site and the Enterprise article!

Phil and Bec's donation in the Philippines

Through February and March of 2010, my wife Bec and I had the pleasure of traveling to the Philippines, and during our time there, we were able to donate a number of baby suits on behalf of Baby Teresa.

We spent the majority of our time in Bacolod City assisting a local Christian church as they worked throughout their community with young children, families in the local slums, and underprivileged adolescents amongst many other things.

On one of our days there, we had the honour of meeting a number of families at their homes in one of the slums strangely named ‘Fortune Town’. During our time in Fortune Town, we were able to witness the unbelievable living standards of some of the world’s poorest residents. A family of 6 living in a 2.5m x 4.5m structure (you couldn’t even really call it a home), unclothed (or half clothed) children wandering the laneways, and the constant stench of human, food and other waste wherever we walked.

It was here that we had the wonderful opportunity of blessing some of our newest friends with the Baby Teresa baby suits along with other items of clothing that we had brought along with us from Australia. It seemed as if the needs here were endless, and we wished that we had so much more to give. It was such an amazing experience to be able to ‘clothe’ some of these babies whose parents were doing the best that they knew how, but still had next to nothing to give their children.

It was a day that Bec and I will never forget, we traveled to the Philippines hoping to make a difference in these people’s lives, but I’m sure that we walked away as the ones who had been changed the most!
